Widgets

A widget is a small public view you paste onto another website. A club page, a blog, a forum signature. Visitors do not log in, and there is no Widgets item in any menu. You copy an address.

There are two, and they look up different things.

Recent contacts

This one uses the public slug on a station logbook. The address is your Cloudlog, then index.php/widgets/qsos/, then the slug.

It shows the last 15 contacts in that logbook. The columns are Date, Time, Call, Mode, Sent, Recv, and Band. Sent and Recv are the reports. A contest exchange, when the contact has one, is added in brackets after the report. A satellite contact shows the satellite name in the Band column. A zero in a callsign is drawn with a stroke through it. The line under the table says Powered by Cloudlog.

A slug Cloudlog does not know produces an error. A logbook with no locations linked to it produces an empty-logbook error.

On the air

This one does not use the slug. The callsign in the address is the callsign on a Cloudlog account. Cloudlog looks that person up and reads their radios.

A radio counts as on the air when it has reported in during the last 15 minutes. Older reports are ignored, and the widget says QRT, with the line "No recent radio activity in the last 15 minutes." The page refreshes itself every 30 seconds.

The heading is the callsign and a green ON AIR badge, or a grey QRT badge. Each radio that reported in is a row: frequency and mode, and the power in watts when the radio sent it, with the radio's name in brackets. A satellite report shows the satellite name and the mode.

A second callsign on the end of the address changes the label only. The radios are still the ones belonging to the first callsign. That is for a club call while the radio is reporting against your own login.

The same status as a picture, for a page that will not show a frame. The left half is the callsign. The right half is green with the frequency and mode, or SAT: and the satellite name, or grey with qrt when nothing has reported in the last 15 minutes. A second radio still inside that 15 minutes adds +1 more.

A callsign that is not on an account produces an error. The radios themselves appear under Hardware Interfaces once Aurora or another program is sending them.
