Callbook lookup

A callbook looks up the station you are working. You type the callsign on the logging screen, and Cloudlog asks QRZ or HamQTH for the name, the locator, the country, and the rest of the address detail that book holds.

This is a lookup while you log. Sending your own log to QRZ is a different job, on QRZ Logbook.

There is no Callbook item in the menu. The settings are a card called Callbook, on your account, under Third Party Services.

Picture needed: callbook.png Account, Third Party Services, the Callbook card. Provider dropdown visible. Leave the password blank in the shot.

The card

  • Callbook Provider. QRZ, HamQTH, or None. None means you type the details yourself.
  • Callbook Username and Callbook Password. The login for that site. Leave the password box empty to keep the one already saved.

Save the account at the bottom of the page.

QRZ's lookup is part of a QRZ subscription. A free QRZ login will not fill the logging screen in. HamQTH is the other provider on the card.

What fills in

Log a contact and type a callsign the book knows. The name and the locator fill in, and earlier contacts with that station stay on the right of the logging screen.

If the boxes stay empty, the provider is still None, the password is wrong, or the QRZ account has no subscription.

The profile picture is a separate switch, under Default Values, QSO Logging Options: show the picture from the QRZ or HamQTH profile. It uses the same Callbook login. The name and locator fill in whether or not the picture is switched on.
