Keyboard shortcuts¶
A few keys are worth knowing once the logging screen is familiar. They differ between General Logging and Contest Logging.
Anywhere¶
- Alt and L opens Quick Lookup. Pick a CQ zone, a DXCC entity, a gridsquare, an IOTA reference, a SOTA summit, a US state, or a WWFF reference, and Cloudlog lists what the active logbook has worked.
- Alt and Q opens the distance calculator. The first locator comes from the active station. Type the other one and you get the distance, with both squares on a map.
General Logging¶
- Space in the callsign box moves to the name, and does not type a space into the callsign. Useful in a pileup, where the name is the next thing you want.
- Enter saves, once the line is ready. Pressing it twice while a save is already going does not create a second contact.
Contest Logging¶
- Ctrl and Enter (Command and Enter on a Mac) saves the contact from anywhere on the line.
- Enter in the received exchange, the received serial, or the received gridsquare also saves.
- Escape clears the line.
- Alt and W clears the line as well.
- Space jumps between the callsign and the received exchange, serial, or gridsquare, depending on the exchange type you picked.
- In post mode, typing a time as four digits, such as
1423, becomes14:23when you leave the box. A date as eight digits,20261022, becomes a real date.
CW with a Winkeyer¶
When Winkey is switched on and the mode is CW, F1 to F5 send the five macros. The page has to be served over https for the browser to be allowed to talk to the keyer.
