Global options

Admin, Global Options. These switches apply to the whole Cloudlog. The switches on your account apply to you.

The page is a set of cards. Open the one you need.

Picture needed: global-options.png The Global Options overview, the cards visible: Appearance, Radios, Email, and the others.

  • Appearance. How the site looks for everyone, including the public pages.
  • Radios. How long, in seconds, the logging screen waits before it warns that the radio link has gone quiet. The radios themselves are listed under Hardware Interfaces.
  • Email. The address Cloudlog sends from. Password resets and OQRS alerts use this. There is a test button. Send the test to yourself before you rely on it.
  • Registration. Whether a stranger can create an account. On a Cloudlog that is yours, leave registration closed. The card is hidden when registration has been disabled in the server configuration.
  • OQRS Options. Site-wide settings for online card requests.
  • Version dialog. What people see when a new version is announced.
  • Public Station Diary. Whether anyone is allowed to publish a diary. With this off, every diary stays private, whatever a user ticked on their own notes.
  • Public Map Confirmations. Whether a public map shows which contacts are confirmed.
