DXCC

DXCC counts countries in the active station logbook. The country on each contact comes from the country file. If the page is empty, or every callsign looks like the wrong country, an administrator needs to update the country files. The home page warns you when that list is missing.

Tick DXCC under Award Settings and it appears in the Awards menu. Award Info on the page is the short note about the scheme, with a link to the ARRL rules. Cloudlog counts what is in your log. The certificate still comes from them.

What it reads

The country stored on the contact. Logging fills that from the callsign and the country file. You can correct it on the QSO when the guess is wrong, which happens with unusual prefixes and with stations operating away from home.

A deleted country, one that has left the DXCC list, still shows on older contacts. Include deleted puts those rows back in the table. Leave them on the old contacts. The station location form warns you if you pick one for a new location.

Filters

Filters sits at the top and starts open.

Quick presets:

  • Show Confirmed Only
  • Show Worked Only
  • Show Unworked
  • LoTW Only, which keeps LoTW as the confirmation and hides the card and eQSL ticks
  • Reset All

Under those:

  • Include deleted. Deleted entities as well as current ones.
  • Show worked, Show confirmed, and Show not worked. The first two start ticked.
  • QSL type. QSL and LoTW start ticked. eQSL counts only after you tick it. Confirmed means the contact has one of the types you have ticked.
  • Continents. Antarctica, Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Oceania.
  • Bands. One tick per band you have marked for DXCC. That tick lives on Bands, under your callsign. A band left unticked there never appears here. The shortcuts are HF Only (160 m to 10 m), VHF/UHF+, SAT Only when you have worked satellite, EME Only when you have EME contacts, All Bands, and Clear Bands. EME also counts on the ordinary band tick, so 23 cm includes 23 cm EME.
  • Mode. All, or one mode or submode from your mode list.
  • Year.

Show applies the form. Reset clears it. Show DXCC Map draws the countries. Export CSV downloads the table as dxcc_table.csv.

The numbers and the table

The cards at the top are total worked and total confirmed, then the 100, 200, and 300 milestones. Under those, a card per continent. Click a continent card to narrow the list.

The table has the entity number, the name, the prefix, and a column for each band you left ticked. Click a country name and the contacts for it open. The search box above the table matches a name or a prefix. Summary, under the table, is the worked and confirmed totals for the rows you are looking at.

A missing country is usually the active logbook, a station location that was never linked to it, or a contact whose country was left blank.
