Notes¶
Notes are a station diary. Aerials you put up, a satellite pass, a portable trip, anything you want next to the log that is not itself a QSO.
The Notes link sits in the top menu. If you cannot see it, it is switched off on your account, under Cloudlog Preferences, Main Menu. Turn Show Notes on. Then the menu item appears.

Finding one¶
The list can be filtered.
- Search looks through the title and the text.
- Category. All categories, or one of yours.
- From and To are dates.
Filter applies that. Clear puts the whole list back.
Each row shows the title, the category, the date, and a short excerpt. View opens it. Edit changes it. Delete asks first. Clicking the category badge filters the list to that category.
Categories start as General, Antennas, and Satellites. Manage categories, on the right of the header, adds your own and removes one you no longer use.
A note filed under Station Diary gets an extra badge: Private, or Public when you have published that entry.
Writing one¶
Create Note. Give it a title, pick a category or type a new one, and write the text.
Station Diary Settings, folded under the text box, only matter for the Station Diary category.
- Make entry public. Other people can read this note. The line under the tick says it only applies to Station Diary. If an administrator has switched the public diary off, the tick is disabled and the page says entries will remain private.
- Include QSO summary. The public page can show a count of contacts. You then pick the logbook, a start date, an end date, and whether the count is satellite contacts only.
- Add images. Pictures on that diary entry.
Station Diary, the button on the list, opens a printable view of the diary entries. Public Diary appears next to it when the public diary is allowed and you have a public entry. It opens the page other people see.
Notes stay out of an ADIF export. A backup of your user data is the stations, the logbooks, and the contacts. If the diary matters to you, keep a copy of it as well as the log.
