eQSL¶
eQSL is happier when Cloudlog knows which station location belongs to which eQSL login, and which QTH nickname to send. That is a mapping. One mapping per station location.
Open it from your callsign, Third Party Logbooks, eQSL Import / Export. The tabs along the top are Download QSOs, Upload QSOs, Mappings, Tools, and Download eQSL cards.

Mappings¶
On Mappings, add a row:
- The station location.
- Your eQSL username.
- The password. The first mapping for a username needs the password. Later mappings for the same username can leave the password blank, and Cloudlog reuses the saved one.
- The eQSL QTH nickname, spelled exactly as eQSL has it, including spaces and capitals.
- Enabled, so this mapping is used.
- Use for inbox download, so confirmations are fetched for this one. One preferred download per station is the sensible setup.
While any mapping is enabled, Cloudlog uses mappings. The username and password on your account, and the QTH nickname on the station location, are the older way, and they are only used when no mapping is enabled. The page tells you which of the two it is using.
The QTH nickname on the station location still matters for the older way, and the default QSL message on that same form is the text eQSL can send with each card.
Upload and download¶
Upload QSOs lists contacts that have not been sent, then sends them. A successful send is marked sent.
Download QSOs pulls the confirmations and marks the matching contacts. You can also upload an inbox ADIF you saved from eQSL's Download Inbox page. That file is .adi, and you tell Cloudlog which station location it belongs to. The date box forces a download that starts further back. Leave it empty for the normal run.
The timed job does the upload and the download for you. Uploads run for every enabled mapping. Downloads run for the ones marked for inbox download.
Cards and a large old log¶
Download eQSL cards fetches the card pictures for confirmations you already have. View eQSL Cards, under the Logbook menu, shows the ones already stored. That menu item appears once Cloudlog knows you have eQSL credentials.
Tools has one button: Mark All QSOs as Sent to eQSL. Use it when the log was uploaded by hand, outside Cloudlog, and you want Cloudlog to stop offering the whole history again. On a big log this is kinder to the server than an upload that runs for hours.
