Other programs that talk to Cloudlog¶
Cloudlog Aurora is the program this book covers for the radio, for WSJT-X, and for the bandmap tune button. Other people have written smaller programs that do one job: take frequency and mode from a rig program Cloudlog does not speak itself, and send them in with an API key.
Create a read and write key, give it a name you will recognise, and paste the key and your Cloudlog address into that program. What those programs actually post, the radio report and the queued tune, is written up under The API.
These are the ones commonly used. They are separate projects. If one has gone quiet, the page for it on GitHub will say so.
- CloudlogCAT, for OmniRig.
- cloudlog-rigctl-interface and CloudlogBashCat, for rigctl and Hamlib.
- CloudLogCatQt, CloudLogCat, and FlrigToCloudlog, for FLRig.
- CloudlogTCI, for ExpertSDR.
- CloudlogConnect, for SparkSDR and FLDigi.
Once the program is running, the radio shows up under Hardware Interfaces, the same as a radio Aurora has introduced.
WSJT-X without Aurora¶
WSJT-X keeps its own log on the PC, as wsjtx_log.adi in its log directory. You can import that file from ADIF whenever you want. Aurora is the path that files the contact as you log it. The ADIF file is the path that works with no extra program, at the cost of doing the import yourself.
